If there
is a fashion trend among celebrities nowadays that’s raising a lot of eyebrows,
it’s adult onesies. And why wouldn’t it when onesies are originally designed to
be worn by infants and toddlers? The term “onesie” actually came from the brand
name of the same style of infant garment and was designed for pure convenience
in mind. Unlike with regular baby pajamas or underwear that parents need to
pull all the way down during a diaper change, all the parent needs when working
with onesies is unbutton it from where it meets in the baby’s crotch area.
There are
actually two types of adult onesies. The first one is designed to look like a
bigger version of the ones worn by infants. These onesies, like their mini versions,
are the perfect suit if you are looking for ultimate comfort in bed. They are
very versatile and can be worn either during the summer months or the colder
months. Some versions are also referred to as footie or footed pajamas because
they cover entire feet as well and eliminate the need for socks when sleeping
at night.
Now,
there is no question that adult onesies are perfect for wearing inside the
house and for providing ultimate comfort during bedtime. The question, however,
is whether they should be worn in public or not. As mentioned earlier, adult
onesies are making a trend among celebrities, and although they come in the
name of jumpsuits or overalls, there is no denying that they look like upgraded
versions of baby onesies.
But
believe it or not, many celebrities favor this fashion trend and are even seen
donning such garments on the red carpet. Perhaps what makes jumpsuits favored
by many stars is the fact that they can be casual and comfortable by day and
can be glamorous and elegant by night. And aside from the fact that these
one-piece garments can be sexy and slimming, they can be very affordable as
well. Some jumpsuits can be bought at only a hundred dollars, and if you know
where to look, you can be lucky enough to find some that are sold at even a
much lower price.
Gwyneth
Palthrow, Kim Kardashian, Rose Byrne, and Tyra Banks are just some of the
famous female stars who look stunning in designer jumpsuits. But while there
are certain celebs that can pull it off with this type of garment, there are
just some who really should have thought twice before wearing one such as Brad
Pitt who looked like a mechanic with his black overalls. To end with, adult
onesies are a great trend to try, but only if you know a certain art to
wearing one without looking stupid. And if you want to play it safe, you would
rather want to stick to wearing one inside the privacy of your own home.
