There are so many women out there who hate the gym but
begrudgingly attend because they want to stay fit.
The majority of hikers will agree that hiking is a pleasure, not a
chore. It's a hobby which women can enjoy at their own pace. Some might want to
spend a Sunday afternoon trekking the local countryside. For others, it's not
unusual to plan a hike which last a few days or even more, such is the
enjoyment factor.
There's not much kit involved. Once you've got the appropriate
clothing, some ladies'
North Face boots, food and maybe a tent, you're ready
to go! There's really no excuse not to try it out for yourselves.
A lot of people hiking for the first time will notice that it
provides a different type of workout to the treadmill. Due to the many
different types of terrain you are likely to come across, the legs will face
different types of strains and this can provide a far more effective method of
keeping fit.
The majority of hikers will conclude that getting your exercise
outdoors is far better than a sweaty gym. Many of them love exploring nature
and freeing themselves of chaotic urban life. Others are excited by the
prospect of coming across a beautiful landscape or a fascinating piece of
nature.
The chance to discover parts of the country that they have never
seen before is a major pull. A lot of hikers are keen photographers, whilst
others just love the peace and serenity which comes with walking in the
countryside.
Hiking is a very social hobby as well. A lot of people go on hikes
with like-minded friends or family who they haven't seen in a while so that
they can catch up. There is no better place than the countryside for a good old
catch-up.
Those who have never been on a hike might be missing out on their
new favourite hobby. There are plenty of maps available online detailing the
best locations - so why not try it this weekend?!
